Sustainability Data, Made Visible
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is one of Portugal's most prestigious cultural and humanitarian institutions, with a long-standing commitment to sustainability across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Itsanashow Studio was commissioned to develop an animation and an infographic poster to mark two years of the Foundation's Sustainable Development Programme, translating its achievements into a clear, compelling visual narrative.
THE CHALLENGE
Two years of a sustainability programme generates a significant volume of data, initiatives, and impact metrics. The challenge was to distill this complexity into something visually engaging and immediately readable, without losing the depth and significance of the programme's work.
THE SOLUTION
We developed a data visualization system that brings the programme's achievements to life through illustration, infographics, and animation. The visual language was designed to reflect the programme's three core pillars: economic, social, and environmental sustainability, giving each dimension a distinct visual presence while maintaining coherence across the full piece.
The animation transforms static data into a dynamic, engaging narrative, making the programme's impact tangible and accessible to a broad audience. The infographic poster extends the same visual logic into a print format, ensuring the story can be told across digital and physical touchpoints.
